01

The challenge

The client needed a scalable, cloud-based event management system that could handle multiple concurrent events with thousands of attendees, provide real-time updates across dashboards, and implement robust permission-based access for different user roles.

02

Our solution

We designed and developed a comprehensive SaaS platform using React.js and Next.js for the frontend and a TypeScript Express API with MySQL for the backend, integrating Stripe Connect for B2B payments, AWS S3 and Lambda for media and background processing, and third-party services for email, PDF generation, and venue geocoding — all while implementing analytics dashboards and role-based access control.

03

The impact

The platform dramatically increased event registration conversion rates and reduced manual operations through automation, while reliably running 14+ live events for over 2,000 participants.

Strategic Platform Architecture & Planning

Key engineering highlights

01

Multi-tenant architecture with real organization boundaries

Organizations have strict data isolation and custom subdomains. A role invariant RBAC model controls every interaction.

02

Stripe Connect as source of truth for money

Payments, payouts, and refunds run through Stripe Connect's connected accounts, so organizer earnings are reconciled directly against Stripe rather than stored manually.

03

QR check-in built for the door, not the desk

The check-in workflow is optimized for real-world event conditions and fast scanning.

04

Compliance modeled in first-class data

Privacy policy, code of conduct, KYC verification and tax-related data are stored as structured information.

05

Two deployment workflows from one codebase

The same API serves self-hosted and serverless frontends. Environments are configured differently, but the core codebase and domain model remain identical.

This platform has revolutionized how we manage events. The automation features and real-time insights have transformed our business operations completely.
